Steven De Meyer graduated in law from KU Leuven in 2005. Since beginning his career as a lawyer that year, Steven has specialised in labour law and social criminal law. 

 

Over the years, Steven has built up extensive experience in individual and collective labour law, concentrating mainly on cases concerning arrangements and disputes at the end of a career, health and safety at work (company welfare policies), criminal proceedings resulting from violations of labour law (including disputes over serious accidents at work), secondment of staff and social inspections.

Labour law and social security law

DLPA deals with all matters relating to human resources, providing a wide range of services relating to all legal issues in HR. 

 

You can come to us for negotiations and drawing up employment contracts, work regulations, collective labour agreements and wage optimisation contracts. 

 

We advise and assist you in all aspects of labour law, with respect to the transfer and restructuring of companies, strikes, social consultation bodies, cross-border recruitment, secondment, international partnerships, privacy at work and temporary workers. In particular, we support you when you are facing a social inspection. 

 

This means we can assist employers, employees, self-employed people and government officials in all areas of labour law and social security law, whether for advice or litigation.

Social criminal law and the laws on accidents at work

DLPA has particular experience in the field of social criminal law, and can advise and support you as a business, manager, director or employee in matters involving violations of the regulations on working hours, harassment at work, social security fraud and secondment fraud. 

 

We also have particular experience in the area of violations of the welfare at work regulations, and we can represent your interests appropriately when you are confronted with a serious occupational accident. 

 

We provide advice and can assist you from the investigation phase onwards. We represent your interests in the criminal courts or when you are threatened with administrative penalties.
