Stefaan Voet
Lawyer since 2003
Stefaan Voet graduated with a law degree from Ghent University in 2001 and earned his PhD in 2011 on the topic of collective litigation. In 2014, he received the Private Judicial Law Prize for this work. Since 2015, he has been an associate professor of judicial law at KU Leuven and a guest professor at Hasselt University.
Stefaan has been a lawyer since 2003. After a break in 2014, he has been active again as a lawyer at dlpa since 2019. Stefaan is an expert in procedural and corporate law. He assists clients with their commercial disputes and supports them when they face litigation, including the sometimes complex enforcement phase. Stefaan also focuses on collective actions involving a large number of victims.
Clients appreciate Stefaan's no-nonsense approach. He strives to provide high-quality advice while also keeping the human aspect in mind. When necessary, he works with his colleagues to find an out-of-court solution.
Additionally, he is a substitute judge at the Ghent Court of Appeal, a member of the Dutch-speaking Notarial Appointment Committee, and a board member of Ombudsfin.
