Bruno Thoen

Bruno Thoen combined his studies in law and philosophy at KU Leuven and obtained both master's degrees in 2003 and 2004. After these studies, he worked for a number of years as an assistant in contract and property law at KU Leuven - KULAK, after which he started as an attorney in a business-oriented regional law firm in 2008. There he built up the commercial & litigation team and has been a partner since 2018. In 2025 he made the switch to dlpa, where he focuses on multiple aspects of business law.
Bruno has extensive national and international experience in negotiating and drafting commercial contracts (distribution, supply, cooperation, industrial projects, construction contracting, lease, etc.), providing advice and resolving disputes (execution/termination of contracts, disputes after takeovers, unfair market practices, insolvency, etc.). He is active in sectors such as real estate, energy, food, automotive, plastics and textiles.
Bruno always strives to find the best solution and to move things forward together, through a good understanding of the client's business and a solid knowledge of the law.
