Piet Lombaerts
Piet Lombaerts graduated with a Masters degree in law from the University of Louvain on 9 July 1986 and subsequently obtained a degree in Maritime Sciences from the University of Antwerp in 1988.
He served a one year internship as an advocate in the judicial district of Antwerp before being called to the bar in the judicial district of Kortrijk in 1989, where he was also Chairman of the Young Barristers Association from 1994 to 1996.
Piet was a member of the Bar Council from 1 September 2000 to 31 August 2002 and Chairman of the Office for Legal Aid.
He became a partner with Declerck & Partners on 1 January 1996.
At Declerck Leterme Partners Piet Lombaerts uses his extensive experience in the fields of contracting law (inter alia and especially with regard to government contracts), competition law, bank and credit law.
