Bernard Leterme

Bernard Leterme graduated from the Catholic University of Louvain with a Masters degree in law in 1977.

He was called to the bar in the judicial district of Kortrijk on 1 October 1977 and was a partner with Gits – Van den Berghe – Leterme before going on to become a founding partner with the new law firm, Laga, in 1999. He left Laga at the end of 2005 and founded the present firm of Declerck Leterme Partners with Chris Declerck in January 2006.

Bernard’s main area of specialization is labour, commercial and economic law. He advises employers on a very wide range of social problems, drawing on his extensive experience in this field. Together with his team, he also organizes regular lectures on current aspects of social law.

He advises and supports businesses in their commercial relationships, both in Belgium and abroad.
